What you will learn?  

This session, A Programme of Wellbeing for Those Who Care, is designed to inspire and equip professionals with practical strategies to prioritize personal wellbeing while improving their capacity to support others. Rooted in evidence-based practices and real-world insights, this training emphasises the importance of conscious living, self-awareness, and intentional care.

    • Recognize the impact of unconscious and conscious programs on daily behaviors.

Meet the instructor

Ia Thomas

Ian is a qualified Social Worker with MA in Criminology. Ian has extensive lived experience and over nineteen years of professional experience working within the UK and internationally supporting independent agencies, local authority, NGO’s and Governments for children in alternative care. Ian has also undertaken research with publications on self-inflicted deaths of care experienced people in custody, the journey of loss for care experienced men in custody, fostering teenagers, and supported accommodation for care leavers, and anti-oppressive practice. Ian is a passionate activist /public speaker presenting his learning on the internal and external factors impacting children, young people and adults affected by alternative care, addiction, marginalisation, and trauma on various platforms such as TEDx, and international movements that work in the interests of children’s rights and wellbeing
