The Rupture-Repair Cycle: Understanding it changes behaviour, trust and trauma 

The Rupture-Repair Cycle is one of the most fundamental dynamics within all human relationships. It underpins our biological development, and thus our stress function, behaviour and capacity to trust.

Ironically, most professionals are unfamiliar with this dynamic because it is so seldom included in training, despite the rising interest in trauma-informed practice.  In this session, psychologist and research scientist Dr Suzanne Zeedyk will explain what the Rupture-Repair Cycle is, how its rhythms come to be established in infancy, and how you can use this knowledge to enhance your practice with children or adults.
