Live training session

What you will learn?

In this training session Lucy will aim to explain the theory of the Drama Triangle and Victim Consciousness in relation to communication, and how we can move towards fostering a sense of agency and self-belief within young people (‘Creator Consciousness’).

Lucy will share her lived experience of trauma and foster care as well as her own professional and personal journey to demonstrate the importance of seeing an individual young person’s unique strengths, to help them challenge their potentially limiting beliefs. Lucy will also give tips on how to uncover personal strengths and bring them out in young people authentically.

Learning Outcomes
Develop an understanding into the framework of the Drama Triangle and how this poses barriers to communication and the futures of young people.

Understand how the role of Rescuer/Hero can hinder, rather than help or support young people.

Understand the Internal Drama Triangle and how this potentially plays out with trauma and the internal worlds of young people, enabling empathy and compassion

Understand how to move towards the Empowerment Dynamic and a healthier way of communicating with young people
