Resource Review

Cambridgeshire recently hosted a multi-agency convention celebrating trauma-informed practice and strengthening connections to support our journey toward becoming a trauma-informed county.
The day was underpinned by Dr. Bruce Perry’s 3Rs (Regulate, Relate, Reason) which were thoughtfully woven throughout the sessions and discussions.
A highlight of the event was the inclusion of the Care Leaders’ self-prompt care cards, which added a personal and reflective touch. Each delegate received a card as part of a welcome care bundle, and additional cards were placed around the refreshment and social areas to encourage informal engagement.

Attendees were invited to reflect on their own self-care, recognising that the 3Rs are not only essential for the children and young people we support, but also for ourselves. To remain open, curious, and effective in our roles, we must attend to our own wellbeing.
The care cards served as a gentle prompt for this reflection and were also used as a creative way for delegates to introduce themselves to others—fostering connection from the very start.

These are an excellent resource which I would highly recommend 😊
