The legacy of language in care records, conversations and court rooms

This session will explore the impact of language used in written records about children, from the perspective of a social worker who retrieved her care files as an adult.
It will explore how to move away from oppressive language which stigmatises and blames, to a strengths-based, trauma-informed approach.
